We are grateful for the opportunity to connect with you in this way during this necessary time of physical distancing.
We have been busy here, tending to the greenhouse gardens, planting seeds for future field crops, keeping the microgreens happy and healthy and making decisions about how, when and where to make our produce available.
As an important source of local produce and grains and value-added food items, the Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market remains open on Saturdays, with changes in place to keep customers and vendors as protected as possible. Visit their website for up to date info. We have made the decision to attend the farmers’ market on a bi-weekly basis so we will not be at market March 28, we will be at market April 4. All of our produce has a lengthy storage life as they are picked and cut only a day or two prior to being for sale at market. In order to limit exposure as much as possible, while continuing to make our produce available, we are encouraging our customers to purchase for two weeks at a time.
Beginning on April 11th, and continuing forward on the Saturdays that we are not at the farmers’ market, we will be taking online orders and meeting at 5 drop off locations around Edmonton. They are:
1) Cineplex at 14231 137 Ave, North-West of the theater entrance.
2) Walmart at Capilano Mall, 5015 101 Ave, North end of parking lot.
3) Safeway at Oliver Square, 11410 104 Ave, South end of parking lot.
4) Chapters at 3227 Calgary Trail, North of store entrance.
5) The Market Place at Callingwood, 6655 178 street, South-West end of parking lot.
Our delivery van (Jaunette) is a bright yellow Sprinter – you can’t miss her!

The full order form and complete list of options will be available on our website as of April 1st. Orders must be received by the Wednesday evening for Saturday drop-off. All orders will need to be pre-paid via email transfer and will be pre-packaged in paper bags.
Responsible packaging has always been important to us. We continue to make choices that are as earth-friendly as possible and to incorporate better options as they become available. Our soft plastic produce bags are bio-degradable, the hard plastic containers we use to protect the most fragile of our shoots are made of compostable, corn-based plastic. We encourage you to reuse these containers for food storage and/or planting trays for spring seedlings.
By purchasing a package (small- $30, large- $50) you will help support our ability to continue to grow, pay our valued staff and create a small measure of certainty in this period of great unknown. Custom orders over $30.00 will also be accepted.
Customers local to the Onoway area are invited to make orders in the same way to be picked up at the farm.
As a community we will support each other as best we can and move forward more deeply connected even as we are more physically distant.
